Profile of Hideo (Deo) Anzai

Mr. Anzai is a Visiting Professor of Nihon Pharmaceutical University and a registered pharmacist (Japan).
He holds degrees of B.S. in Agriculture from The University of Tokyo and B.S. in Pharmacy from Kanazawa University.

After working in pharmaceutical industry in Japan for many years, Mr. Anzai came to the US as Head of New York Office of Tsumura & Co., the largest herbal medicine company in Japan. In 2002 he left Tsumura to start his own Anzai & Associates.

Mr. Anzai serves as a peer reviewer for American Botanical Council. Also he is a member of New York Academy of Sciences, Society for Integrative Oncology, American Society for Nutrition, Japan-US Healthcare Study Group, Society of Health Care for Menopause and Aging, Japan Mibyou System Association, and Japan Society of Assisted Reproduction.

Mr. Anzai is an author of a book “Kampo Therapy and Dietary Supplements for Sleep Disorders” (Seika Publishers, Tokyo).
He is an inventor of several international patents including “Agent for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)” (Japanese Patent No. JP 4464964. May 2010), etc.
He wrote many articles including “Current Status of Integrative Medicine in the US” (Japanese Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine, 8 (1): pp 37-42, 2011), etc.
